In an extremely close and hard-fought encounter, the mixed matches ended all square with the Huntingdon first pair of Michael King and Natasha Scott running out comparatively easy winners against Steve Reid and Othelia Stallbom when taking both sets 6-2. St Neot’s second pair of Alan Jordan and Laurie Cruikshank restored parity with a much closer match when taking both sets by 7-5 and 7-6 against Tristan Bacon and Lydia Sivirent-Sava .
In the men's doubles match, Huntingdon's Michael King and Tristan Bacon won their tie against St Neot's Steve Reid and Alan Jordan in a hard hitting, skilful and enjoyable encounter. With Huntingdon winning the first set comfortably 6-2, St Neots nearly clawed their way back into the tie but narrowly lost the second set on a tie-break. Huntingdon's ladies pairing of Natasha Scott and Lydia Sivirent-Sava had a very close match against Othelia Stallbom and Laurie Cruikshank with honours being shared with each narrowly winning a set.
